Stanley Medical College (SMC) is a government medical college with hospitals, located in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Though the original hospital is more than 200 years old, the medical college was formally established on July 2, 1938. Stanley Medical College and Hospitals is one of the oldest and well known centers in India in the field of medical education.
The Department of Radiology caters to the entire hospital and has the latest 1.5 Tesla MRI machine, 128 Slice CT, Ultrasonography, Doppler, Elastography, Mammography, Fluroscopy, and digital X ray units. Every year 11 post graduate students are admitted for MDRD and DMRD. Paramedical course including Diploma in radiography, BSc Radiology and Msc Radiology are offered in the Department.
